Supporting Emotional Development in Children Through Storytelling

The Little Legends Library is a thoughtfully created collection of children’s books designed to support emotional development and help children understand and manage their emotions. Each story explores common feelings such as worry, frustration, confidence, and empathy, giving children the language and reassurance they need to express how they feel. By supporting emotions in children through relatable storytelling, these books encourage emotional learning, resilience, and self-confidence in a gentle, age-appropriate way.

Helping Children Understand Emotions Through Books

Stories in the The Little Legends Library are designed to help children recognise emotions, develop empathy, and learn healthy ways to respond to their feelings. Reading together creates natural opportunities for parents, carers, and educators to talk about emotions, build emotional awareness, and support children’s social and emotional development. Ideal for home or classroom use, these children’s stories help turn everyday reading into meaningful moments that support emotional wellbeing, connection, and positive mental health from an early age.
